Green Tea Processing

Green tea is a non-oxidized tea, after tea are been plucked, it quickly heated through pan-fired (Taiwan and China) or steamed (Japan) then dried immediately to keep the grassy, vegetable aroma.

STEP 01 

Tea Plucking

Fresh tea leaves are harvested and immediately shipping to tea processing factory.

STEP 02

Fixation

Green tea is non oxidation tea. To keep the fresh green aroma, oxidation is halted through the high temperature (300º) pan-firing machine, deactivates the enzymes of tea.

STEP 03

Rolling

The leaves are rolled through a rolling machine, giving the tea curled appearance.

STEP 04

Drying

The leaves are now dried through tea drying machine. The finished green tea contains a rest humidity of 3%-4.5%.

Finish

In this process, the moisture level of tea leaves are brought down to 3-5%. The enzyme activities stopped, giving the tea a stable situation with good shelf life.
